She'll want a sibling

Ha ha! Kids think they want all sorts of stuff until they actually get it, or they get old enough to appreciate the benefits of their situation. My daughter begged for a sibling for years and years. Specifically, a sister (like you can choose lol). She is a huge extrovert and people person, so being an only child is a particularly challenging situation for her. She was downright vicious at times about not having a sibling when she was six. But I could not have more than one child for many reasons, so it was something she just had to work through. We did our best to involve her in all kinds of social venues and activities so she could interact with other kids. When she reached nine, she told us she was glad to be the only child, after seeing what some of her friends dealt with in bigger families. It all works out in the end.
