Does anyone else run into this?

I honestly think it’s a little unhealthy. Especially if you are OAD, socializing and having the kid alongside other children, especially “strangers” is important. They learn how to communicate, share and behave around other children. My sisters son is 5 years old, and started day care at 2. His language skill is amazing and has been since he was 2.5. A lot of negative stigma about putting kids in day care, when actually, it does give them a head start. My husband wouldn’t mind having his mother babysit all day everyday, and having the child there until the age of 5, but for me, I don’t care if they’re next door neighbors. The kid WILL go to daycare, part time is even good enough but for sure will go. I think a lot of grandparents just want to co parent, and while help is appreciated, I don’t want them to be the focus of my child’s life.
