The idea that we make large negotiated deals with countries in incorrect. The economy is millions of individual purchase made by people and companies. People by things at wallmart because they are cheap. They are only cheap because they are made in Chaina. If you increase the cost to china then they pass the cost along to consumers.
Threatening higher tarrifs on Mexico would work in the long run, but in the short term we can eliminate remittances and start enforcing immigration law. You enforce the travel ban the same way they did it before. Ban people travelling/immigrating from certain countries, unless the person can provide lots of evidence that they are not muslim. And then they get in line behind every other deserving person already on the immigration lists.
countries like France? where we already know tons of ISIS members are? And keep in mind ISIS recruits all over the world. just banning travel from syria and iraq for example woudlnt work at all.
The Republican party will either unify around Trump or die. Trump has forced them into this position starting months ago.
OR trump dies and they live on.
