I am very sad it ended but glad that the depression that ensued afterwards forced me to heal and grow from old trauma that I didn’t realize how negatively my internal self was affected by. I don’t know if I would’ve had the breakthrough I ultimately had that allowed me to live live more freely and not walk on eggshells around everyone. My ex recently told he how what we had was great and unfortunately it didn’t last. And that statement can be read as a pure statement of fact or looked into a million different ways, is it unfortunate and he misses it.. is it unfortunate and he’s open to talking, is it unfortunate and he still thinks about me etc etc. I think it just depends on the amount of time that passes how someone will feel about their ex partner..because if it hasn’t been too long, feelings of course are still heightened
