The only thing supporting an argument for LeBron would be his slight edge in defensive rebounding, however Memphis was 9th in the league in Dreb% while Miami was 24th. The gap between the 2 teams in DRTG, 3.4, was substantial. Gasol had a BPM almost twice that of LeBron, 4.4 to 2.4. Gasol had 15% more defensive winshares despite playing fewer total minutes than LeBron.

Hell, I'm not sure there's a single metric that says LeBron deserved DPOY over Gasol
