Employees of Reddit, what was the rudest customer you ever had to deal with?

TGIchilibees server here! Just got promoted to bartender... At our restaurant, the bartender is responsible for to-go orders.

One night, I'm completely slammed. Horribly. Full bar, and I'm like a new born baby giraffe back there. So my manager steps in to help me.

She takes a to go order on the phone. She's on the phone for an absurdly long time. Turns out it's a ridiculously complicated order. I'm talking two pastas, both extra chicken and shrimp, one sauce only on the side. Sub certain ingredients with other ingredients, etc... Basically this shit no longer resembles the pastas we have on the menu.

10ish minutes later this woman approaches the bar while I'm taking an order for a couple a few seats away. As I'm ringing in the couple's order, I greet the woman and tell her I'll be right with her. She just stares at me, and starts banging her credit card on the bar.

I ask if she placed a to go order, sure enough she's the complicated ass order from 10 minutes ago. I let her know her order is still being prepared (because literally everything about it was modified.) and I ask her if she would like a drink while she waits. She huffs "No!" at me, as if I offered to let her lick up the filth accumulating in the bar drain.

I go off to catch up on the million other things I have to do, and as I'm walking by with a load of dishes she says to me "Let me get a (cocktail that will reveal my restaurant)." I tell her absolutely, just one moment...

I drop the dishes off and quickly make it back. She looks kinda young.. Not like a baby, but we card anyone under 40, so I ask for ID. She huffs and sighs and walks out. Comes back later with her ID, which she sort of jams into my hand like she's trying to stab me with it. She's 26. TWENTY FUCKING SIX.

I make her the drink. When I deliver it, she points at a box in our kitchen pass area and asks "Is that my food?" I tell her I'm not sure, as there are quite a few to go orders, but I'll gladly check. It's one of her pastas, but the other one isn't ready yet.

I bag the one box up and tell her the other will be ready in a few minutes. I ask her if she would like some of the free bread we offer. She hisses that she ALWAYS gets free bread, and she wants extra, and that I should know to give her free bread. I apologize. I always ask if people want it because I hate to see it go to waste, and some people have allergies and shit. You'd think with the weird, over modded order, perhaps there was an allergy or something.

Anyway, the cuntier she is to me, the nicer I am to her because I kill with kindness. So, finally her food is ready, all boxed up and special, with extra free bread. She does the jabby thing at me with her credit card, I swipe it and hand it to her, smiling and wishing her a wonderful evening. She writes a big fat zero in the tip line, I feel a warmth in my heart knowing I'm better than her.

She starts to walk away, stops at a table and opens her boxes. I'm trying to wash the blender when she approaches. She tells me I "did the order wrong" and she didn't get her extra broccoli. I read the ticket multiple times because I wanted no problems from this bitch. The box was full of broccoli, she got the double portion she ordered. I tell her that, and she demands a manager.

So, my manager that took her order comes to deal with her. Uses manager magic to prove the order was put in right. The bitch starts grasping for straws, saying the kitchen took to long, were playing around back there. That she runs a "business" and brings "thousands of dollars a month" here. Then she said I was rude to her. Then she decided to say that I left her boxes sitting open at the bar (What? Makes no sense.) and that flies got on her food. (We don't even have fucking flies here.) and she starts saying that she's now "out $40 bucks" and the manager needs to "make it right" for her. So, shitass gets free dessert. By this point her little kids who were waiting in the car I guess, come in looking for her. Mind you, it's almost midnight.

She leaves, and servers come out of the woodwork, regaling me with tales of how she brings her ratchet ass friends in all the time, never tips, always looks for shit to complain about. Is just all around nasty.

Awhile later, she's back. I walk past a table, and she's staring at me with huge eyes, craning her neck. I knew she was talking about me because the guy she was with turned around in his seat to look after she said something. The server for that table told me she had corporate gift cards. Turns out she complained to corporate with her above bullshit, and added on that the manager who was nothing but kind to her, and gave her free dessert, had an "attitude" and "embarrassed" her. Though I apparently got a "corporate complaint", no one, not even the GM has said a word to me about it. I'm assuming the manager told him what really happened.

Anyway, nasty bitch then left her table to sit at the bar (thankfully I had a serving shift that day), and she sat there for hours guzzling down fruity drinks and staring at me. She didn't try anything, though.

A server told me when she was putting her purse in the closet near the restrooms, where some employees put their personal belongings, the dumb bitch was walking out of the ladies' room, and said to her "Oh, so THAT'S where ya'll keep your purses!?"

Yeah, try to steal our shit. We have cameras.
