Alright, well then let's really talk about politics. Let's talk about Edward Bernays aka the father of propaganda and nephew of Sigmund Freud. Bernays worked directly with President Hoover/the CIA and the US government for 40 years starting in WWI. His influence on US politics is almost immeasurable as he change the game entirely. Let's just look at what he had to say.

The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.

The 2 party system is literally nothing but a form of control. Instead of the people uniting with each other in an attempt to bring about actual change, they place blame on the opposing parties supporters & its constituents, resolving actual government of any wrong doing. In addition, the system allows for turnover every 4-8 years which acts as form of buffer, mediating the disapproval that one party has when it's not occupying the presidency. Literally the people who are struggling are fighting with one another. But hey, it's better then communism. That form of government has to rule with an iron fist because when the people do come together, there is usually an uprising. I.E. Russia post WWI. Do people think Stalin was just killing millions for funsies? He literally assumed power after a Civil War where the Czar was overthrown.
