Never understood the decay/attack thing with etymotic BA's. DD bass/attack never screamed natural to me since bass doesn't linger that long, the mid bass hump can ruin micro detail. Not to mention the slower attack on Dynamics means they groan an cry more on stuff like dragonforces fast songs, hence the electrostatic comparison for the ER4S.

I find it very off putting with the tone of that the ER4XR/SR is gimped and that the ER2SE is the real ety TOTL. When they won't admit they less accurate and more fun sound which is what DD's flaws do like tube amp's warming up the sound with less clarity than any SS amp.
