Why is everyone mad about the Rittenhouse Trial?

Grosskreutz has caught up to Rittenhouse and for whatever reason, decides not to shoot and puts his hands up. Rittenhouse does not fire, but then Grosskreutz changes his mind, points his gun at Rittenhouse

This is the one particular thing that I can't believe people are so adamant in defending (Grosskreutz that is). The dude literally faked a "white flag" surrender, which was accepted, and then immediately drew back down on him. Not only is it the utmost chickenshit behavior, it shows that Grosskreutz had every single intention to shoot Rittenhouse dead there. He wasn't trying to eliminate an ongoing threat, nor was he trying to detain Rittenhouse so he could be brought to justice, he was going to straight up murder him in the street, despite having not even witnessed the situation at issue. There's easily an alternate universe where another protestor "on the other side" shoots Rittenhouse in self-defense, runs away from a crowd of pursuers, and then gets gunned down by this exact same asshat Grosskreutz.
