I have three problems with this shoe.

1. I do hate the way that they look. but that is subjective.
2. Lace-up and tie-up? Laces are inconvenient and zippers are fickle and fragile. One, alone, is fine to make a shoe tighter... two is redundant.
3. When would you wear them?

You're not going to hike in them. Even if they weren't high heels, they look hideously uncomfortable and expose the wearer's toes.

Maybe a classy night out with friends? No, again. The laces conjure an image of hiking boot (Despite their utter failure as hiking boots) so... Inappropriate at best, even if they weren't an eyesore.

Casual evening wear perhaps? No again. They look uncomfortable as hell. Even if they didn't lace up and zip up. It honestly looks like it would take ten minutes to put a pair of these on. Also, they probably chafe and the exposed toes forbid the use of a sock.

I guess they could pair well with those pre-distressed jeans, allegedly-angsty teenager, look that makes the rounds occasionally.
