ex-Muslims, what is your controversial opinion about the ex-muslim community?

Being an exmuslim and a leftist is definitely not an oxymoron even if it was true that "the modern day left has a firm alliance with Islamists". Could you please give some examples of countries where there is a leftist-islamist alliance?

There is no alliance between leftists and Islamists. Muslims are such a small minority in the West, they have pretty much no influence on the political systems of these countries. In fact, when Muslims do take political positions they usually are leftist/liberal even though some of the politics that the modern day left/liberalism espouses are against Islam such as LGBTQ rights.

It might seem that there is an alliance between leftists and "Islamists", simply because leftists espouse social equality and are the ones who push back against anti-Muslim rhetoric which is usually from right wingers. Islamism and leftism are two opposing political ideas. It is no coincidence in Islamic countries where there have been conflicts between Islamists and secularists such as Iran during the revolution or Turkey, the

Here is another comment that I think goes along with this.

"Too many right wing nerds who think that because the left defends the muslim minority in western countries that somehow magically the right wing in the west are allies to our cause."
