Explain to me (a lower-class Muslim millennial) why I should align with the republican party?

Why do Liberals mandate business so much? And how is this bad?

It's sacrificing freedom in the name of equality. It's bad because it makes for a less free society, a weaker economy, and an unjust one. And most of the time, it hurts the average small business owners. Corporations and rich people have enough money to adapt to most things, the ones hurt by regulations and taxes are the middle class. People want to open businesses and hire other people. They want to create value. But they can't because of the red-tape and the bureaucracy necessary to do so. Cash is almost never an inhibitor to businesses, because there will always be investors on standby, regulations are. And I don't know about you, but working for a low minimum wage beats being unemployed. Working for an employer who doesn't pay your healthcare beats being unemployed. Having less paid leaves beats being unemployed.

And it's not just businesses. They mandate morality and that hurts our communities and violates our values. You mentioned that you're a Muslim, but not a radical one. I don't know how important religion is to you, but I'm assuming it is, and that freedom of religion is too. Recently, the Republicans, and the entire world to be honest, have shown a growing resentment to Islam because of the reoccurring terrorist attacks. While that is a complex situation and we can talk about it too, don't let anyone fool you, the Republicans have always been pro-religion. We're not the ones telling business owners that they have to bake cakes for gay people or face prison time.

Democrats aren't pro-Muslim. They're pro-victim. They paint Muslims to be the victims, and protest the Christian establishment for being so oppressive. If Islam was the main religion of the United States, Democrats would abhor you guys.
