The Extremely Poor Level of Theorycrafting on this SubReddit.

More than two picks per role doesn't make the game balanced. Balance implies that a multitude of equally valid strategies can be employed and that no class (since we have classes) is outright better than another. It implies that everybody fills a role on a team, and that one class cannot cover a gap left by another class easily.

How in the world is a composition of Sobek solo, Athena Support, Ymir jungle, Xbal ADC and Neith mid valid and balanced? If your point about Guardians wrecking hunters late-game when HUNTERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE STRONG is valid, then it means Guardians should be the ones getting farm, not ADCs. When Mages offer nothing that Guardians cannot, when Guardians and Hunters make the best use of farm out of any class in the game, enough to warrant them being run in the jungle, mid and solo over mages and assassins, one should start to question why the rest of the classes exist.

And that's without discussing the validity of your point. Supports have trouble finding farm, and games end before they get six-slotted. The fact that they take several seconds to kill instead of just 1 is the reason they're picked a lot, and also phasing out the other classes.

If your point about banning all the junglers in high elo is valid, then listing assassins as counters to guardians is invalid because hey, ban Nemesis. Ban Ao.

Except in tournaments, we see Athena bans. We see sylvanus bans. We saw the occasional Ymir ban iirc. And there's most of the influential guardians right there, little else left to ban. The other few ban spots are for Thor, serqet, hun and whoever else would be banned to share.

I have no idea what you're saying when you're quoting people. Are you implying that Hades does not need a buff? Hades did miserable damage with his 1-2 combo starting midgame and was there pretty much to tank 2 shots, fear the ADCs away and bait beads with ult. What he did well was deny farm early and delayed Cyclone from getting online. That's literally the only thing Hades does, push really hard. Any other pick would have fallen to a good ADC because of their safe poke, only guardians remain. And since you need to deny farm, pick Hades. The fact is, his really strong early game lasts for a grand total of 5 minutes. If you're able to get farm after that, he doesn't do anything. When the hardest carries in the game, Hunters, can get online by 12 minutes, a presence of only 5 minutes is good if you can heavily capitalise on it. It was the best counterpick they could have gotten. That does not mean that Hades does not need a buff. Heck, Thanatos is supposed to fall off really hard, but he's still more useful than Hades mid to late game.

About Divios being the worst solo laner, I have no idea where you got that from. Granted, I don't visit here too often, but I'm sure I'd have noticed such comments as Divios is generally regarded as one of the better ones I believe. Barracuda is a good player in general, and the fact that you being clearly biased and still saying "arguably", therefore implying that there is still room for discussion, means that the point you make about AMC not needing a buff is perhaps not valid. Regardless, AMC is less safe than the other hunters, and therefore not picked. Barra did well because he likes AMC and it was something unexpected.

The Guan Yu needs a buff thing might have very well been a mistake, however iirc this subreddit didn't really complain about it since the start of season 2. But then again, I might have missed it. And I don't get what this proves? Jeff said that Ares and Ymir are bad, and he's not really present around here.

This subreddit likes to complain, but we're not anti-intellectual. What IS anti-intellectual is creating a post to complain about all the complaints, whilst simultaneously acting condescending and smug with phrases like:

"I'm going to give some examples of when this reddit and pro's were so fucking wrong that you barely have a valid opinion to disagree with the fucking truth and logic I'm about to drop on you".

What IS anti-intellectual is not promoting a discussion based on an opinion, but trying to shame an entire community to change because they may sometimes be misguided.

And considering that there are arguments in almost every post, I would hardly call us hive-minded. Don't use that term so liberally. And looking at your most recent past posts from here, I can see that you love insulting others and calling their opinions invalid. Well my friend, guess what, you're no better than the rest of us. You can whine about us being stupid, but you're not acting any smarter.

There's more that I'd want to say, but I'll just ignore you and play SMITE instead. Have a nice day.

(Oh, and you talking about high elo ranked and saying "pardon my noobishness" in a recent post is gold. Carry on)
