I’m a chronic pain patient. It is getting harder and harder to get any kind of pain medication. My conditions are progressing and the pain gets worse but it gets harder to get any type of pain control. I’m getting closer to the point that I have to seriously look at maid or illegal sources because the pain has now trapped me in my home. I’m only 34 but those may become my only options, in which case I’ll choose maid. I understand being restrictive with opioids but sometimes we go too far in one direction and we then swing too far the other way which is what has happened. I know too many other chronic pain patients who have had to make the same choice, 3 are no longer with us.
