Mainly because I am playing otome games. Where it is fictional men and fictional dates. But I don’t think much about it outside the game and I’m not self-inserting either. Reading the comments here by the other ladies makes me think it is okay.

On fictional anime girls though that is the difference, most do look like young girls which is already super gross that a man is sexualising them. They also tend to be unrealistic in physical appearance. If a woman has fantasies about fictional men it tends to be romantic in nature anyway. Even IF sexual, it unlikely will be in a degrading manner.
