Unless you're going to say the actual dictionary is wrong, fascism has nothing to do with any economic (left or right) ideology and is specifically related to the authoritarian/anarchist (traditional correct sense) axis of the political spectrum. Any person or entity can be fascist. Yes in AMERICA the right, and trump and the alt-right especially, are fascist. Neither trump nor america should be important enough to change the meaning of a word as critical to a country's safety as fascism. America is bastardizing the word "fascist/ism" just like it bastardized "liberal/ism" and "anarchist/ism" to no longer reflect what those words mean most other places in the world.
Fascism 1often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
