Tell your single friends The Four Things. They are: wear no rings, wear no denim, don't take The Pill, and move your opinions to the right.

Well, a little bit to the right. Most men are to the right of most women. Any ring at all means you are "taken." Denim certainly can be cute and easy-care, but if you aren't getting anywhere in denim, wear something else. It might not be useful right now. Maybe later. And The Pill suppresses ovulation, and your hormones are not saying anything. Of course be careful, consult your doctor, and figure out another method if possible. But sometimes it's that no-hormones thing. Depending on the individual.

Other than that, wear a skirt instead of pants a lot of the time. Have longer hair. Try for contacts instead of glasses.

After all that, see if you can wear a non-sneaker shoe. Not a huge heel, those are just for FLOTUS. Consider a "kitten heel." You can get them online.

Oh, and don't date anybody you wouldn't dream of marrying ever under any circumstances. That gets you typecast as liking that kind of person, and the kind of person you could marry won't talk to you.
