FMIL causing me stress by not communicating with me about the wedding she wanted us to have

Is a registry not a list of gifts we would prefer over others? They're coming for the wedding, they were going to bring a monetary gift. I was going to ask if they could do the makeup in leiu of that. Either way I didn't ask her coworkers and won't be now. I definitely wouldn't have demanded their services for free. I had no problem with paying anyway.

If she doesn't want to do my makeup on her son's wedding day she shouldn't have offered to do it in the first place. I never would have thought to ask her for a trial if she hadn't offered to do it on the big day. I don't see what is so wrong with me asking to have a trial done. Most people who get their makeup done on their wedding day also get a trial done, don't they? I have never had my hair or makeup professionally done so I really don't know what I want here so a trial would really be helpful. As someone who works in this industry she should also know that people do trials too? Again it's not about the money. I'm fine paying for it. I just need her to communicate with me so I know what to expect from her. At this point I will just get someone else bc I don't feel comfortable with her anymore.
