Former #49ers LB NaVorro Bowman is signing a 1-year deal with the #Raiders, source says. That was fast.

Looks like he doesn’t care about that ring. Also is 1 year just until the end of the season? They should get to keep him until week 6 next year. don’t call it a 1 year deal when it’s only 8 games. Why not just sign them to an 8 game contract with playoff options? It just is a dumb system. But it’s the worst system because the turnover is so high, which I think is an issue that doesn’t come up enough when we talked about declining viewers. We talk about injured stars (and I believe this issue is coming up now or starting to with these massive injuries to stars) but the impact of fans not being able to connect with players over a long period of time has an impact. Especially on a 52 man roster with no injuries it’s hard to know everyone on your team let alone the other 31 teams (or even the 3 in your own division) add in injuries and normal changes due to productivity (which could also tie into these injuries and player turnover) and it’s insane. Fans need to be able to get to know players, that’s why winning or above average franchise QBs who are consistent are so important besides delivering wins, they add a face that is constant. It seems like an unsolvable problem at the moment, i don’t think there are more injuries than normal but the big stars going down is a big issue. And now with the concussion issue and missed games from them as well it adds up. Kinda went on a tangent but the nfl is a one year contract for everyone.

TLDR: Short contracts lead me on a tangent about injuries, decling viewership, and issues with contracts. Maybe more I don’t remember. Ignore spelling mistakes I’m sure they exist.
