Former cult members of Reddit, at what moment did you go, “oh fuck, I’m in a cult”?

When my pastor said that all science cant be trusted because its all a theory. To add onto that our christian school were smug and showed us "athiest positions and how to counter them", so now I could see what an athiest is properly not some "devil". Then after that I asked my pastor if god can be proven to exist, he says it's a leap of faith.

Ive been a skeptic at heart and started questioning my religion more and more, until I figured out religion is bullshit and left the church at 14.

Once I noticed I was essentially brainwashed since I was a kid by fear of hell, fear of our loving god (isnt that ironic), and much more, I quit.

He sucks at being a cult leader because now grown up im a full Nihilist.
