Former NFL executive: Blake Barnett's transfer 'is going to haunt him'

NFL teams don't care about quarterbacks transferring for playing time.

This competitive mindset BS is just that BS

Alabama signed him as a Pro Style QB to play in their Pro Style offense. Except, they aren't really running a pro style offense anymore. Hurts is a better fit for the offense they are running, hence, he got the job.

Barnett could stick around and get mop up duty for the next 3 years, or he could transfer and actually get some real playing time in an offense that fits his skill set.

There is a reason this guy is a FORMER exec. Its because he' a moron

Barnett will transfer to a school that fits his skill set, and instead of practicing in Alabama's offense, he will practice in the offense he will eventually be running.

It sucks for Alabama to lose a quality backup, but Barnett has to worry about himself if has any inclinations of playing pro ball.

Fans are loyal to their teams. Barnett is from Cali. He's not a Bama fan. He signed there because they told him it was his best shot at making it to the NFL. Sitting on the bench for the next couple of years does not give him a good chance of making it to the NFL.

I have no problem with QB's transferring. Its the one position where only one guy gets 90% of the reps
