Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: MrMobile vs MKBHD!

It did have widespread hardware issues though, specifically defective GPS and touchscreens that seemed to die an awful lot. Never were the issues truly fixed.

G3 also had consistent build quality issues, and even emmc-based bootloop issues that behaved identically to the G4 bootloop issues.

The G4 and V10 were never even recalled, though the death of each device is practically guaranteed. The warranty replacements don't actually fix the issue either, they just give you a fresh slate to burn out. Same with LG 5x.

The G5 again had GPS hardware issues that have not truly been fixed, as well as numerous build quality issues.

The V20 has the self-breaking camera lens glass, and apparently it looks like the G6 does, too. (This is common on other OEM phones too maybe?)

The list could grow and actually become more exhaustive here, but it is accurate to say that LG has skimped on quality control for several years and has never owned up to it, instead selling the devices they know are defective, hoping the customer wont send it in for repair -- which of course many wont, instead replacing it.

LG makes mostly disposable phones. They claim to have turned over a new leaf with the recent management change, but the actions say different. Whether the G6 or V20 will go the distance is too early to tell. Chances are high that they won't, LG has earned a track record of low quality devices at high prices, and that reputation will be hard to shake.
