Gary Johnson: Legalizing marijuana will lead to less overall substance abuse

i literally specified that marijuana is safer. you didn't even bother to actually read my post. i explained my point that using drugs outside of moderation does not a happy or functional person make. and that's my point. why waste the effort on getting these people another vice to abuse? there are literally so many other ways to get them help that simply need funding and not legalization, so you can be helping these people even faster.

but the thing is - you just don't actually give a fuck about these people who are suffering, getting them real help instead of a band-aid takes 2nd chair to your personal interests. you're so caught up in your bullshit campaign to make it legal for you to do drugs recreationally and that's the kind of person i legitimately fucking hate. look - by all means champion drug reform under the flag of "yeah, BRO, i like getting HIGH," but don't fucking sit there like a jackass and try to piggyback off of someone else's losses to benefit you if you don't actually fucking care.

there's nothing to prove that legal marijuana would help people with opiate abuse issues. thus, arguing that you, shithead, are working on saving people when in fact you're just working some ulterior motive is shallow and disgusting. if you're going to champion the cause of people with legitimate problems abusing drugs the solution is often not to give them more drugs to abuse, even if they are safer. sure the pot won't kill them (if they even somehow just like, got over opioid addiction with a weed script), but will they be functional? happy? free of pain? no, they'll just trade one devil for another. relying on drugs as a crutch is a terrible way of life. if the discussion is on people facing that then we need to raise their standard of living, get them proper treatment and not just fucked up on a different drug.

fuck you.
