Is generally preferring the studio recording to the live version a quality of Si?

This shouldn't be your litmus test on whether you are an Si user or not. A lot of your comments would suggest that you might be an Si user, but then again, I think that you need look at it broader than the parameters that you've selected here. Live recordings are usually shit. Anyone can hear this, not just Si or Se specifically. I'll give an account of how I perceive the Smashing Pumpkins as an Si user. See if any of this resonates with you.

When I think of the Smashing Pumpkins, I think of the song Drown off of the Singles soundtrack, which was the 2nd CD I ever owned in 8th grade. I remember eighth grade and all that. I remember watching Cherub Rock on 120 minutes on MTV. I remember really liking Smashing Pumpkins but then they took a turn that reminds me of U2. Then I remember that Billy Corgan dated Courtney Love and there is some question of his hand in Kurt Cobain's death. Then I remember how awful it was meeting Courtney Love. I think of phlegm, Suboxone, and lattes. Then I remember meeting James Iha when he was touring with A Perfect Circle. He was nice. Then I remember Maynard. I remember spilling the craziest smoothie I've ever made on his table. I've met him too, but here and not in my hometown where he has lived for many years, but here in my adoptive home. Then I remember going to his wineries and tasting rooms. I remember that he did a video that included my ex-boss. I remember that I know the same people that he does, but we are separated like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon. Then I remember that I was starting with Smashing Pumpkins and where was I? This is more Ne than Si, but they can't really be separated.
