Genshin Impact Hits Nearly $250 Million in Its First Month, Making It One of the Largest Mobile Game Launches Ever

I give it about a year before we see any sharp declines in profit, especially if MiHoYo actually decides to care about the playerbase and listen to feedback more. While it's definitely riding the hype train super hard, making $250 million in a month is extremely impressive and enough to cement GI as a major power player in the gacha scene.

My only hope is that MiHoYo eases up on the monetization because I've played enough gachas to know that it doesn't have to be as bad as it is, but they chose the scumbag route despite having a bunch of experience with HI3. Really gives people an even worse impression of gachas and could lead to more governments sticking their noses into the gacha scene and result in bans of games like AK and AL (Which actually respect their consumers) simply because they have a gacha system in the game.
