Its the policy of this sub that our members not say Trump and Liberals are two sides of the same coin, since Trump is especially bad. But I'll just say with all the recent events, the cynicism here is warranted.

Asian Americans for half a year now, have to had to endure watching daily reports of people or have to experience themselves, Americans spitting on them and even murdering them for the pandemic. A pandemic, which may not have even originated in China to begin with, so our people essentially had to undergo all this hatred for nothing. Then we witnessed the biggest anti-racist movement since the Civil Rights movement. Every single blue check marked Asian on twitter devoted more of their energy to participate in this movement than they did to call out anti-Asian racism. And what have Asians gotten in return? Nothing. Not a single brand with anti-Asian logos has changed, we have not had a single discussion on anti-Asian American classics like Breakfast at Tiffany's, in addition not a single discussion about the uncomfortable truth that African Americans and Latinos made up a bigger portion of hate crime perpetrators during the pandemic than white people did. While statues of Americans who owned slaves have been torn down, statues of Americans who supported the Chinese Exclusion Act like Leland Stanford have not even been talked about on the internet, much less touched. In fact, Asians may actually end up worse from this culture war, as affirmative action gets pushed to the forefront. Asian Americans don't have a lot in America to begin with, and all these education reforms will effectively destroy one of the few things we had, which was our prowess in education. Like, there is no justice going on, African Americans are just shrewdly exploiting White liberal "guilt" (although to be frank its more like boredom) in order to carve out a bigger slice of the American pie. The result is the same, we Asians get nothing.

We had to put up with all this racism for nothing and we marched on behalf of BLM for nothing, what else is there to fear after this?

Edit And for the record, when it comes to the threat of Asians ending up in internment camps, I don't think it would ever happen under Trump. He's way too bungling and is more of a professional troll than a decisive leader. If Tom Cotton decided to run for president in 2024, yeah I would be afraid since he's the smart version of Trump. But we don't have to worry about that for four years.
