Yes, why does it matter? Despite the controversy surrounding this school, nobody can deny that this is a school entirely based on (merit)[https://youtu.be/eK_5cyCTUT0?t=53s]. Nobody is going to hand you an 4.0 because your father is CFO of Boston Pizza. At the end your semester (if you're a reasonable human being) you'll look at your mark and understand that that is the mark you deserve. If you did poorly, you'll remember your mistakes and shortcomings throughout the year. If you did well, you might feel that you deserve more, but UofT does not care about you feel you deserve. UofT does not acknowledge your feelings. We may have staff here that help students deal with the stresses and pressures, but the institution as a whole does not give a dusty fuck about you, unless you are contributing to your community/society, based off the education you have received and the hardships that shaped you into the person you have become at graduation.
