I think it is a bit concerning that she makes suicidal remarks while being very aware of her motive in doing so—for attention. Many people struggle with depression and express suicidal thoughts genuinely and aren’t using it as an excuse to draw attention from others. I don’t exactly think this is appropriate behavior given what she has said. I don’t want to be harsh but I disagree with her that everyone is seeking attention and would make suicidal remarks to do so. Now, I would suggest that when talking to her you mention the inappropriateness of her behavior and explain to her that she is taking advantage of a condition that many suffer with.
