The great pandemic migration is not what people expected

Lived in Seattle as an adult for 25 years before moving (back) to Tulsa 2 years ago... My $400K house in Tulsa has 4300 sq ft, 6 baths, a lagoon pool with grotto and waterfalls, 2 stocked koi ponds - also with water fall features, 4 car detached garage (2 in main house - 6 total) with a kitchen that we're converting partially into an apartment - which will bring it to over 5k sq ft - outdoor covered kitchen with grill and reefers/TV/Fireplace - 3 other fireplaces in the house... My commute is about 15 seconds now as I roll out of bed into my home office working remotely - making the same wage I was in Seattle for my tech role at MS with a 30 minute to 2 hour commute. Wife took about a 15% pay cut as an RN. Great school district - some of the best in the state, vs Seattle where I actually raised my kids and sent them to private schools vs public where I could afford to live (Burien/South Park).
