Grubhub added a Colorado bakery to its platform without notice or permission

Creates value huh? It creates risk actually.

Let's say a new customer calls the number listed on the fake website. This number happens to go to Grubhub. So Grubhub answers, pretending to be an employee.

Now lets say that for whatever reason, the person taking the call is having a bad day. And lets say the customer has a bad experience.

This person writes a review. But it doesn't stop there. This person spreads their experience on social media. Due to the experience, you have not only more people complaining, but new people, who never heard of the place until now, associate it with a negative experience, and that's enough to convince them to stay away.

So now, your business loses 20 potential customers, and your image is tarnished.

When you own a business, you work hard on your image. When you have someone representing your image, without your constent, you now assume all risk. Sure, there is maybe benefit, but for small businesses, it's hard to take on unnecessary risk when most businesses are already high risk endevors.

I only outlined one of the several possible issues that can arise out of this.
