Handing out drinks to construction workers

Speaking of hydraton, I had a case of severe dehydration last year. Luckily I didn't faint or go into a seizure. I was working for a package company, during the hottest part of the Summer last year, around late August. Soon as I started the shift, I was sweating bad and felt really uncomfortable. Didn't have a water bottle, so I kept going to the fountain but it eventually got so busy towards the end of the day I worked through it.

Two hours before the end of the shift, it suddenly got very cool. It was like the temperature dropped 30 degrees. I wasn't stressed at all, I was almost aloof. It was very strange, knowing that just 1 hour ago I was sweating hard, now I felt great. I remember touching my forehead a little later and it was bone dry, not a drop of sweat. Two more hours pass by, and soon as we were about to leave home, I told my co-worker about it, and he freaks out. He ran to get 3 gatorade bottles from the vending machine, and stood there, making me drink at least 1. I thought it was a bit of a overreaction, but now that I think about it, he did the right thing. Now I finally know what those news reports say about old people dying to dehydration during a heat wave. How can you not know you're dehydrated? I felt great, almost carefree
