Sorry if I missed it somewhere in here, but how long have you been a fan. That is relevant here.
For me, I don’t care so much about the cheating, and some of that other stuff. For me, I used to be a fan back in the day. Back when he was “the fighter”. When he turned into the comic, that’s when things took a turn. Prior to that, callen would defer to schaub on fighting, schaub would defer to callen on comedy. But not it’s become this weird thing where schaub doesn’t seem to respect callens opinion on anything. The fact that he will make fun of Bryan for little stuff (like the way he speaks with his invisiline in, or Messing something up) but Schaub does not react well when callen makes fun of him. He tends to get defensive, which for a comic, is annoying. Someone who constantly dishes it out but then can’t take it is a universal thing that annoys people. Big part of the hate.
Also, there seems to be some delusion. He doesn’t seem to ever admit that he isn’t great at standup. Never seems to say, I’m still growing and working on things. The only guys he will openly admit are better than him are arena guys, Tom segura, Bert, joe, Louie, etc. like, you think those are the only guys above you. It seems like he measures comedy by ticket sales, which is a big problem for him. Caused him to never reflect on if his material is good. Everyone In the comedy community is saying, don’t put out a special until you’re about 10 years In. Yet, schaub has done it twice. And each time, comedians say this is terrible, why did he put this out?
There are other little things, but no. I don’t hate schaub. I just find him annoying, and this Reddit page is something I hop on occasionally and it makes me laugh. I don’t know that schaub is a “bad guy”. I think he is, but I’m sure he’s also nice to a lot of people. I just think he’s an annoying guy. Nothing to do with him being successful, a fighter, anything. If I had a co worker who made fun of people but was sensitive when you made fun of them, they think they’re much better at their job than they are, they brag about how much they make, etc. that person would annoy me too.
