Not him but I can think of a few things that pissed a lot of people off. Wall of text incoming.

2016 I think they were getting sued for defamation and put out a series of videos alluding to how they would lose a ton of money. They had a patreon or something up for a while as well. Time passes and they win, and it’s never really brought up again. In reality pre-lawsuit and and during that time, they were making insane money. Teddy Fresh blew up around that time, but the YT channel was still a huge moneymaker. It was a weird direction to paint themselves in dire straits when they were already millionaires hanging with celebs.

Ethan getting political in 2017, while being woefully undereducated in those subjects turned a lot of people off. He was in the frying pan for saying some fucked up stuff but was still trying to play the morality game and go after others. After getting called out by a ton of people he blamed it on depression and a cycle of anti-depressants.

90% sure during that time he was on an opiate kick around that time as well. His dog almost OD’d on molly he left on the ground and I’ve never seen anyone talk about it since. My point is he had a ton of issues but was using his platform and power for callouts and leverage.

That’s all shit years ago btw, everything recently is worse imo because he’s had the time to grow and mature and has completely squandered it. Him trying to destroy Keemstar’s career after those events is all the evidence that he has rationalized himself as some moral figure again. Keem deserves to be ruined, but the method Ethan chose is going to lead to repercussions over time imo.
