I am glad to have found this post since I have had similar experiences, but not this creepy, and was looking for some info on this. First, I want to state that calling myself a sceptic is a euphemism. I am a rational person and I would cast off ghost stories and the like as complete bollocks.

However, due to some minor events, I am starting to think that there's something going on in my house. (Sorry if I'm being vague but that information doesn't seem relevant to this thread.)

So, last night, when I was just falling asleep in front of the television, I heard a voice which I 'identified' as my mom's (who is still alive and not living with me) saying something really loud in my ear. Though I cannot remember what was said, it wasn't disturbing. So I wake up abruptly, rewind the program I was watching with only a few minutes which is proof that I had only been sleeping for a very short while. Now I am getting to the point, I have heard things before: a smash, a voice, a thud that woke me up but I would just think I was dreaming.

Now, today I started to look up information on the dream cycle because I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed by what's happening and I tend to look for rational explanation. Turns out, and as I expected, one does not dream in the first minutes of sleep. So what the heck did I hear and have I been hearing for quite a while now.

I am very curious to read a bit more on the same subject because I am starting to freak out. Thanks for reading/commenting.
