[Help] She just won't eat kibble and tough love isn't working.

Have you tried foods that aren't traditional kibble, like Honest Kitchen or some type of prepackaged raw? They're pricey, but it's an option if she really hates kibble. I would also talk to your vet to rule out any specific digestive issues.

My oldest dog has always been a terrible eater. He'd go 2-3 days without eating before finally relenting. His stomach would make awful growling noises, and diarrhea and vomiting bile were "normal" for him. I went through numerous brands/varieties of food, which he liked for a few meals and then he was over it. Your pup sounds like she might be a little more dramatic than my boy, but here's what I did to "train" him to eat.

*I decreased the amount I gave him. 1 cup seemed to be about the max amount he could eat at once. He gets 1c 2x daily, and he's a very active 38 lb Aussie. *He got 10-15 mins to eat, or I picked up his bowl until his next meal. *I didn't add any taste tempters, gravy, etc. He would just expect it the next time and refuse to eat without it. *I didn't nag him to eat. *I encouraged him whenever he did eat, and threw a huge party with rewards when he finished a meal.

It took a few months, but he finally started eating pretty regularly. He eats probably 80-90% of the time now. I usually still have to hand feed him on agility trial weekends, especially if we're traveling, but it's a super exciting, stressful environment for him. He doesn't like eating in a crate or if we're not in the room with him, and he's weird about high value foods/treats at times too so it's not just a kibble thing for him. He loves Greenies, but sometimes he'll toss it around and play with it instead of eating it. Raw turkey neck? Occasionally he just lays with it. Leave him with a treat on your way out the door in the morning? He'll snatch it off the living room floor and gobble it up as you walk in the door that evening. He's really weird about food in general.
