Oh cause we all know that hackintoshes work so well... especially on older equipement /s Let's not forget the fact that I'm starting in 5 days, and by the time I'm actually able to get a laptop, it'll be likely less than 3 days. Yeah, I'm totally going to spend the three days before the program starts trying to get a hackintosh working on legacy hardware, instead of getting prepared for the next 8 weeks... seriously this suggestion is incredibly delusional.

Yeah okay, I knew this was going to happen, which is why I put the bold text at the bottom of my op. I have been stating over and over that I'm looking for a place to RENT a macbook on the cheap, or a cheap place to get a reasonable laptop as an alternative. It's honestly people like that are the reason we can't have nice things. It's one thing to be cynical, but this is just so goddamned out-to-lunch that I'm almost speechless.
