hey everyone I have a question. I have convicted with a crime 7 yrs ago when I was 18 { Indecent act against a minor} My record is clean now. I don't know if that gonna effect me getting the k1 visa.

Act against a minor is a big deal in America regardless of when it happened. If it is on records, you have to let USCIS know because if you don’t and they know I can guarantee you they will reject your application!!! Rest is up to the officers discretion and the seriousness of the case. I’ve been in this country for 32 years and unknowingly registered to vote somewhere in 2016. I completely did not know at the time and considered it just as an ID in Texas. I didn’t even know that I’m supposed to disclose that on my application as I didn’t think it fell under a crime. I have my license, Social Security card etc and never could think that having a voters ID was a crime. Frankly, I didn’t even remember I had it or where I registered for it. The officer rejected my green card and I had to appeal it. It’s all up to the officer and if you honestly somehow slide it through them with tell it the way that they don’t think it’s a big deal and that was the only mistake that happened in life then maybe the officer might let it slide.
