This was my first real date, in high school.

He was one of my closest friend back then . He finally built up enough confidence to ask me out.

At the time, I kinda didn't really get it was a DATE until my bestfriend was like '' oh so what are you gonna wear?'' and I was like '' who cares, it's only Matthew, I see him all the time!'' she then proceeded to point out the very obvious facts and I was like '' oh shit alright, let's go on a date i guess ! How do we do this? ''

So while on the phone with her, she helped me get ready. I put on my best top, a little makeup, but like my bestfriend said, I shouldn't look like i tried too hard!

Anyway, so I wait for him to arrive, and when he does, I hang up and go to the date. He came to pick me up in his stationwagon and wanted to take me to the nearby airport to see the planes land. Of course we wouldn't go to the actual airport, but there was a park not so far from it that you could go to witness the landings.

I was thrilled but also verrryyyy nervous. I would hang out with him all the time, but now that I was aware that it was a date, I was not like myself, you all know the feel! It was a 30 minutes drive to get there and we pretty much small talked all the way there. When we get there, we CANNOT find the spot. He had brought a gps but it's not a national park or anything with an adress so we didn't know what to search exactly. We probably drove around the airport for about 2 hours before giving up.

What was cool is that getting lost sort of put the focus on something other than the actual date. We just tried to get to the place together, trying to find our way around etc.

We really had a good chemistry . So he brought me home after we kept laughing of our floppy night and we never went on a date after that. We kind of both saw that we were much better friends than anything else.
