Historic moment: a challenge for /r/Futurology to design the next greatest $10 million XPRIZE prize. Top ideas by midnight tonight will be brought to the Visioneering meeting this week in L.A. in helping solve one of humanity's grand challenges

Problem: What will people do to earn an income in the future? What will they do for work? Solution: An abundant goods and services, costless society. There is no silver bullet for solving the future of work. The future of work is a multi-faceted array of projects that will take more than just one good idea. With the prospects for the ability to acquire an income in the future sharply reduced, I believe the future of work is cheap abundant education for specialization and also the reduction of the costs of goods and services to zero. Humans will come and go as they please working on personal projects in their spare time. Reducing costs of goods and services to zero is my solution for a challenge. Even with that there are several projects needed to reduce costs of goods. I choose one of the following projects.

Automated vertical fogponics - ubiquitous produce

Automated construction robot

Abundant building material

Powerful AI for healthcare

I choose to challenge to solve the ubiquitous produce problem. Which is one facet of a costless society. This is not off topic as these will be the projects necessary to achieve a future of work that will not require government legislation or protest. These are the projects of a seamless transition to the future of work. Automated vertical fogponics is barely on the current radar of many however with a lightweight scaffolding and an innovative design, fogponics is the natural solution given rapidly affordable energy efficient LED lights and ubiquitous solar panels. This project challenge uses minimal land and minimal water consumption. If the future of work is a costless society, surely automated farming is a certain necessity. Thank you for your time.
