Hope you older guys and girls

I mean obviously some people are really in a difficult place financially and have few options, but there are also things many people can do in order to earn more money, like not going into $100,000 of student loan debt, choosing a career that actually exists and has a reasonable demand, not doing drugs, not becoming obese, etc. I think some people do make things unnecessarily hard on themselves, and maybe tough love is helpful for them?

I don't really see what's so bad about the OP of that thread. She worked hard to become a neurosurgeon despite dysphoria, that's an impressive accomplishment. I'm a millennial and what the older generations say about is has a kernel of truth to it.
