Hours after taking office, Brazil’s new president, Jair Bolsonaro, has launched an assault on environmental and Amazon protections with an executive order transferring the regulation and creation of new indigenous reserves to the agriculture ministry – controlled by the powerful agribusiness lobby.

Why such a generalised comment? What is “the right” to you specifically to be able to call this entire group of people “gullible” and presumably mis-believing?

There’s nothing wrong with making a fair judgement about someone and calling them this, but your comment makes no sense. There are many people that are right leaning and believe in climate change and environmental protection (as well as extremely right leaning people). There’s no “entirely left” or “entirely right” party, and there are many parties that reside in random areas of the political compass, that are very commonly voted for. Most countries aren’t like USA where only 1 of 2 parties are guaranteed to win that are very opposite of each other, get your head out of the clouds.
