How to correct hockey stick length and lie?

So I usually use a stick that’s about up to my chin, maybe a little higher off skates and around my Adam’s apple when on skates. It’s a Crosby P87 curve from when he was with Reebok which is listed as a 5.5 lie. I recently cut it down to where the stick only comes up to my armpit and is extremely short now. While the stickhandling is very nice and fun, whenever I go to shoot I have to bend over a lot and lean down a lot, which is immensely uncomfortable and I don’t get a whole lot of power or lift on my shots unless I really put everything into it. When I go to shoot, the heel of the blade comes off the ice and I can’t use it to shoot the puck but always have to use the toe to snap the puck. This was a problem even with the prior length (which was about up to my Adams apple on skates but now the stick is at armpit level). Does anyone know what I should try for length? Adams apple is too long, and armpit is too short. Also, any idea what my lie should be considering with a 5.5 the heel of the blade doesn’t touch the ice when trying to take snap shots Phil Kessel style? Any advice is appreciated.

Extra details: I’m 5 foot 8 (174 cm) and weigh 140 lbs (63.5 kg) and that stick I was just talking about is a 75 flex senior composite with about 8 inches hacked off it atleast.
