a week ago my son changed all of the file names that they were supposed to use for their research project to - teachers only, teachers only 1, teachers only 2 etc

he also put a password on each of them with the password being iamateacher

took 5 days before anyone brought up the fact that there were no documents for them in the folder to use and no one batted an eyelid when my son was the only one to hand in the homework as he was the only one who had access

then add another week for an 'investigation' and then he had to stay after school and rename everything and take all the passwords off etc and everyone had to do it when it had all been fixed

I'm having some trouble with your timeline... OR you're not telling us that your son has also invented a time manipulation device. (In which case, Kudos!)
