How did you respond to a life or death/survival situation, and are you proud or repulsed by your behavior?

I dunno where to put this reply.

My friends and I went out to a nearby wildlife refuge that people frequently visit for funsies. There's a lava cave there with a ladder STRAIGHT down, about 15-25 feet. We explored it for about 30 minutes (it also runs very very deep).

When we got back to the entrance, we climbed back to the surface. Unfortunately, my vehicle had become stuck. We tried for 30 minutes to get it unstuck with a myriad of methods, but it was there for the count. When we all reached the surface, the deafening cries of a myriad of coyote packs could be heard from all directions. Immediately we bolted inside the car.

I finally managed to organize a group of 3 (out of 10). Me, and 2 others. "Leave your guns and knives here unless you can conceal them," I directed, "If we approach someone's house at night they won't take kindly to that." We had a few firearms and knives due to the fact we had previously been exploring "uncharted" territories.

We hiked for about 10 minutes out of the place we were stuck until we were seemingly set upon by some coyotes. I dunno if they were actually after us, but all I know is that I and one other dude with me leapt at them and made a bunch of noise, and finally they ran off. Good

We hiked another 60 minutes before reaching a house. I told my posse to stay out by the road, and one other person to come up to the door with me. I knocked, they answered (miraculously) and called their son.

I thought they were BSing us, but surely enough after about 12 minutes, a big ass truck stopped by the driveway we were waiting at, asked "YOU DA DUDES MY FOLKS CALL'T ABOUT?" and we answered yes. I let everyone else have first dibs because I had dragged them out on all this shit to begin with.

I was alone in the truck bed, but it was dope so I'm chill. Even in the truck it took about 20 minutes to get back to where my friends were stuck. I got everything attached to the proper points and got my car back on the road. Everyone got home hapily ever after FOR THAT NIGHT. The end.
