I was in Afghan while I’m the military when my ex told me she was cheating on me and wanted a divorce. For those that don’t know while in the military and married you receive base housing allowance which is intended to pay for where you and your wife live. One of my supervisor’s wife was a family lawyer, so I had her write up a contract that I would pay my ex a couple hundred dollars while I kept the rest. Which was eventually signed and notarized by both parties. Now to get to the I won moment; she was a resident of a fault marriage state and because I did not have any fault it was law that we had to stay married but separated for 2 years. So for 2 straight years I was giving here 200 dollars out of a total 2500 dollars a month. Think I won in the long run.
