I was wrongfully banned and I have no idea why

basically you never have any problems until they receive this "Couchsurfers who have hosted or stayed with other members are permitted to submit private feedback to Couchsurfing" http://www.couchsurfing.com/about/policies/ private or confidential so we have no idea on reddit what is going on in the community or how to respond to your post,but i guess they flag your account when they receive private feedback and 3 times about the same they deactivate your account or give you a warning like a temporarily ban and if you make a new profile its against the terms of use and you receive a ban for life and the other reason is many are scared to write non positive public references because that person will never ever forget you and they are scared of retaliation on social media with screenshots and profile pictures,so the reference system only creates a false sense of safety and because they know that in San Francisco from earlier rape stories,they start their reference policy with private feedback.
