How the hell is a regular person with a regular job supposed to make it in today's world without working themselves weary?

Yeah. I tried that for a while. I live as frugal as possible. I still look and pay attention though. Bankers scammed and exploited my parents, my spouses parents, crushed them, left them homeless, along with many others. And that was decades ago. Our government and bankers continue to extract wealth from communities, tamper with the value of our wages, devalue our lifetimes of savings, orchestrate boom and bust cycles to funnel wealth from the working class to the uber wealthy, generation after generation. It's coming to a head. Wealth disparities are higher than ever before in part I think because a lot of people are ignorant or they just don't look at what is happening, it hasn't hit them hard yet, they don't understand how broken the whole system is, and live in micro-bubbles of sustenance, check to check, day to day. When it does come for them, when their jobs do get turned into gigs or sent overseas, when they find their Dad living in a car or a lean-to behind a warehouse, when they find their mom is choosing between meds and food, then they'll understand.
