How long was your longest FWB relationship? Why did it end?

About 11 years on and off. I had turned down dating this girl a bunch of times for a bunch of reasons. That didn't stop us from hooking up whenever we saw each other and I was single. She told me several times she would "wait for me" which I always found really strange and at times it made me uncomfortable...like we were only friends so that she could maybe have a shot at locking me down someday. She was basically a "nice girl"

I going through a tough time in my relationship and we both got really drunk one weekend and ended up fooling around. When I got home I broke up with my girlfriend, came completely clean, and explained what a shitty person I was to do that.

Unfortunately the girl also broke the news to me that she had herpes and I spent 2 awful weeks inspecting every pimple and fearing every itch on my dong was herpes. It was total payback for the shitty thing I'd done....but regardless it really made me resent the girl. While I take responsibility for my own actions, she was grinding on me all night even though I said "no" a few times, and pushed her off 2-3 times that night. She went so far as to invite herself over the place I was sleeping and just generally made a nuisance out of herself until she got her way. Again, it was totally on me but I felt like that night I saw the real her that lay just underneath her whole "im just your best friend!" attitude.

I broke it off with that girl for good and thank god but I didn't get herpes. I told her flat out that our weird friendship had gone past the point of no return with her behavior and also that I needed to work on myself and do some soul searching. Years later, we've never talked. I'm not mad anymore, but I just realized that what she did was something I would never do to another person and certainly wouldn't put her in that position (std risks OR just hitting on her relentlessly while drinking)

Oh well, lesson learned.
