How often do your kids stay the night with grandparents?

My kids are 6 and 2. I take them to visit my in laws one day every weekend. I want to create a little distance bc it's getting annoying them expecting us to spend a full day at their house every weekend. I am a SAHM so I do get to spend a lot of time with my kids but we really only do fun things on weekends. My husband disagrees with the distance and would like his parents to keep both of our kids overnight one night each weekend or every other weekend so we can have "us time". My thoughts are I didn't have kids to get rid of them every weekend and he works so he only sees our kids for 1-2 hours a night, not quality time just time being in the house eating dinner, watching TV. Some nights he isn't even home before they go to bed. I am having a hard time processing the fact that he is ok with his parents keeping our kids 1 night out of 7 when his time with them is limited. If it were up to me alone, my kids would be home with me every single night. Am I weird? Husband thinks it's "normal" for kids to stay a night with grandparents every weekend. I disagree.
