She hasn’t said it wasn’t good. It’s worth pointing our that while she often jokes about how crap things were with the boyfriend she had after the fiancé, she doesn’t talk much about the relationship with the fiancé himself. Why not? Is she hiding something or is it irrelevant 10 years on?

When it has come up she has said she was happy at times, but there were arguments, retrospective red flags and that she didn’t feel “content” like she does with me. That may be a compliment but it doesn’t exactly make me feel exciting.

And also, she must have been pretty intensely happy to say yes to a proposal at 23. I guess this is the issue, I feel she plays down the ex fiancé and I don’t know why. Her story doesn’t add up...
